11.18
子曰：“回也其庶［1］乎，屡空。赐不受命，
而货殖焉，亿［2］则屡中。”
The Master said, “There is Hui! He has nearly
attained to perfect virtue. He is often in want.
Ts’ze does not acquiesce in the appointments of
Heaven, and his goods are increased by him. Yet his
judgments are often correct.”
【注释】［1］庶：庶几，差不多。［2］亿：
同“臆”，揣度。
【译文】孔子说：“颜回学识道德可以说差不
多了，但命运不好，度事屡屡落空。端木赐
（子贡）不受禄命而去经商，货财不断增加，
度事屡屡命中。”
