子曰：“君子无所争，必也射乎！揖让
而升，下而饮，其争也君子。”
The Master said, “The student of virtue has no
contentions. If it be said he cannot avoid them, shall
this be in archery? But he bows complaisantly to his
competitors; thus he ascends the hall, descends, and
exacts the forfeit of drinking. In his contention, he is
still the Chun-tsze. ”
【译文】孔子说：“君子没有什么争夺的事，
如果有，那也一定是举行射礼比赛的时候吧！
相互揖让而登台比试，完毕后下台喝酒，这
竞争是君子的竞争。”
【解读】“君子无所争”，并不是指君子只知
道谦让什么都不争，见义勇为也是君子的作
