子曰：“礼云礼云，玉帛云乎哉？乐云
乐云，钟鼓云乎哉？”
The Master said, “It is according to the rules
of Propriety, they say. — It is according to the rules
of Propriety, they say. Are gems and silk all that is
meant by propriety? It is music, they say. — It is
music, they say. Are bells and drums all that is meant
by music?”
【译文】孔子说：“总是说礼呀礼呀，难道仅
仅是指玉帛之类的礼物吗？总是说乐呀乐呀，
难道仅仅是指钟鼓之类的乐器吗？”
【解读】孔子是礼乐专家，倡导运用礼乐教化
百姓、治理国家。面对当时仅仅注重礼乐表
面现象的奢侈之风，孔子感慨良多，不由得
