子曰：“出则事公卿，入则事父兄，丧
事不敢不勉，不为酒困，何有于我哉？”
The Master said, “Abroad, to serve the high
ministers and nobles; at home, to serve one’s father
and elder brothers; in all duties to the dead, not to
dare not to exert one’s self; and not to be overcome
of wine: which one of these things do I attain to?”
【译文】孔子说：“出外就事公卿，进家就侍
奉父兄，办丧事不敢不勤勉，不被酒乱性，
这些对于我来说有何难的？”
【解读】这是孔子告诫弟子的话。无论出仕为官，
还是做事情，都要态度认真，严格按照礼制
的要求为人处事。事公卿要忠，事父兄要孝，
有丧事要尽心尽力、考虑周全，不能贪杯误事。
