子曰：“由之瑟，奚为于丘之门？”门
人不敬子路。子曰：“由也升堂矣，未入于
室也。［1］”
The Master said, “What has the lute of Yu to
do in my door?” The other disciples began not to
respect Tsze-lu. The Master said, “Yu has ascended
to the hall, though he has not yet passed into the
inner apartments.”
【注释】［1］堂：正厅。室：内室。升堂入室，
比喻学识技艺由浅入深，升堂比喻已有所成
就，入室比喻已得其奥妙，即到达了很高的
境界。
【译文】孔子说：“仲由弹的瑟，为什么会出
在我的门下？”因此孔子的弟子们不尊敬子
