闵子侍侧， ? ［1］如也；子路，行行［2］
如也；冉有、子贡，侃侃［3］如也。子乐。“若
由也，不得其死然。”
The disciple Min was standing by his side,
looking bland and precise; Tsze-lu, looking bold and
soldierly; Zan Yu and Tsze-kung, with a free and
straightforward manner. The Master was pleased.
He said, “Yu, there! He will not die a natural death.”
【注释】［1］訚訚（y!n?y!n）：和敬。［2］行
行（h3ng?h3ng）：刚强。［3］侃侃：和乐。
【译文】闵子骞侍立在孔子身旁，和悦恭敬的
样子；子路，刚强勇武的样子；冉有和子贡，
温和快乐的样子。孔子很高兴。但后来又说：
“像仲由（子路）那样，恐怕不得好死。”
