祭如在，祭神如神在。子曰：“吾不与祭，
如不祭。”
He sacrificed to the dead, as if they were
present. He sacrificed to the spirits, as if the spirits
were present. The Master said, “I consider my
not being present at the sacrifice, as if I did not
sacrifice.”
【译文】祭祖先就好像祖先真的在眼前，祭神
灵就好像神灵真的在眼前。孔子说：“我不
亲自参与祭祀，祭了也如同没祭。”
【解读】本章反映了孔子的鬼神态度：要想祭
鬼神的话，就要相信鬼神真在那里。自己不
能或不想亲自参与的祭祀，让别人代祭的话，
还不如不祭。孔子主张诚实，不要自欺，祭
