储子［1］曰：“王使人 ［2］夫子，果有以
异于人乎？”
孟子曰：“何以异于人哉？尧、舜与人
同耳。”
The officer Chu said to Mencius, “Master, the
king sent persons to spy out whether you were really
different from other men.”
Mencius said, “How should I be different from
other men? Yao and Shun were just the same as
other men.”
【注释】［1］储子：齐国人。齐宣王时曾为相。
［2］ （ji3n）：窥伺，偷看。
【译文】储子说：“君王派人来观察您，您果
然有不同于常人的地方吗？”
