孟子曰：“万物皆备于我矣。反身而诚，
乐莫大焉。强恕［1］而行，求仁莫近焉。”
Mencius said, “All things are already complete
in us. There is no greater delight than to be
conscious of sincerity on self-examination. If one
acts with a vigorous effort at the law of reciprocity,
when he seeks for the realization of perfect virtue,
nothing can be closer than his approximation to it.”
【注释】［1］强：勉力。恕：仁恕之道。
【译文】孟子说：“世间万物之理都具备于我
心中。反省自身而达到诚实之境界，没有比
这个更快乐的。努力按照恕道行事，追求仁
的境界，没有比这个更接近的。”
