子曰：“德之不修，学之不讲，闻义不
能徙［1］，不善不能改，是吾忧也。”
The Master said, “The leaving virtue without
proper cultivation; the not thoroughly discussing
what is learned; not being able to move towards
righteousness of which a knowledge is gained; and
not being able to change what is not good: — these
are the things which occasion me solicitude.”
【注释】［1］徙：疑是“從”字，形近而误。
有的《论语》注本已将“徙”字改为“從”。
【译文】孔子说：“道德不修养，学问不讲习，
听到仁义之事不能随从，不好的不能改掉，
这些都是我所担忧的。”
