子曰：“爱之，能勿劳［1］乎？忠焉，能
勿诲乎？”
The Master said, “Can there be love which
does not lead to strictness with its object? Can there
be loyalty which does not lead to the instruction of
its object?”
【注释】［1］劳：忧劳，操劳。
【译文】孔子说：“爱他，能不为他忧虑操劳吗？
忠于他，能不对他教诲吗？”
【解读】本章孔子讲的是为人之道。爱，总得
有表现、有行动，不是靠嘴上说的。如果仅
靠嘴说，那不是真爱。真爱是忘我的，真心
付出的、任劳任怨的。郑板桥的诗“衙斋卧
