子曰：“邦有道，危［1］言危行。邦无道，
危行言孙［2］。”
The Master said, “When good government
prevails in a state, language may be lofty and bold,
and actions the same. When bad government
prevails, the actions may be lofty and bold, but the
language may be with some reserve.”
【注释】［1］危：正。［2］孙（x&n）：通“逊”，
谦顺，恭顺。
【译文】孔子说：“国家有道，言语正直，行
为正直；国家无道，行为正直，言语逊顺谨
慎。”
