子 路 曰：“ 君 子 尚 勇 乎？” 子 曰：“ 君
子义以为上。君子有勇而无义为乱，小人有
勇而无义为盗。”
Tsze-lu said, “Does the superior man esteem
valour?” The Master said, “The superior man
holds righteousness to be of highest importance. A
man in a superior situation, having valour without
righteousness, will be guilty of insubordination;
one of the lower people having valour without
righteousness, will commit robbery.”
【译文】子路说：“君子崇尚勇敢吗？”孔子说：
“君子以义为上。君子有勇无义就会犯上作乱，
小人有勇无义就会成为盗贼。”
【解读】子路崇尚勇敢，但有时缺少必要的仁义，
