孔子曰：“禄［1］之去公室五世矣，政逮
于大夫四世矣，故夫三桓［2］之子孙微矣。”
Confucius said, “The revenue of the state
has left the ducal house now for five generations.
The government has been in the hands of the great
officers for four generations. On this account, the
descendants of the three Hwan are much reduced.”
【注释】［1］禄：爵禄，此指鲁国授官颁爵的
权力。［2］三桓：鲁国司空仲孙、司马叔孙、
司寇季孙同为鲁桓公之孙，故称。
【译文】孔子说：“鲁国的权力从君主手中失
掉已经五代了，政权落到大夫手里已经四代
了，因此鲁国三家的子孙已经衰微了。”
