of the people, and calling the Grand music-master,
he said to him, ‘Make for me music to suit a prince
and his minister pleased with each other.’ And it was
then that the Zhishao and Jueshao were made, in the
words to which it was said, ‘Is it a fault to restrain
one’s prince?’ He who restrains his prince loves his
prince.”

东 北。［2］ 非： 非 议， 埋 怨。［3］ 转 附、
朝儛（w^）：均为山名。［4］遵：沿着。［5］豫：
专指君王出巡。［6］睊（ju3n）睊：侧目相视。
胥：皆，相互。谗：毁谤，说坏话。［7］慝
（t-）：恶。［8］方命：逆王之命。方，逆。［9］
戒：告命。［10］大师：即太师，古代的乐官。

解：“言晏子能畜止其君之欲，宜为君之所尤，
