孟子曰：“不信仁贤，则国空虚。无礼义，
则上下乱。无政事，则财用不足。”
Mencius said, “If men of virtue and ability
be not confided in, a state will become empty and
void. Without the rules of propriety and distinctions
of right, the high and the low will be thrown
into confusion. Without the great principles of
government and their various business, there will
not be wealth sufficient for the expenditure.”
【译文】孟子说：“不信任仁人贤士，那么国
家就会空若无人。没有礼义，那么上下关系
就会混乱。没有好的政治，那么国家财用就
不会充足。”
