其在宗庙朝廷，便便［1］言，唯谨尔。
When he was waiting at court, in speaking
with the great officers of the lower grade, he spake
freely, but in a straightforward manner; in speaking
with those of the higher grade, he did so blandly, but
precisely.
【注释】［1］便便（pi1n pi1n）：形容善于辞令，
侃侃而谈。
【译文】他在宗庙或朝廷上时，却特别善于言谈，
只是说得很谨慎罢了。
【解读】宗庙，朝廷作为举行祭祀大礼，商议
国家大事之所，做臣子的应当说则说，不当
说则不说。恰如其分地表达自己的见解或建
