“唐棣之华，偏［1］其反［2］而。岂不尔思？
室是远而。”子曰：“未之思也，夫何远之有？”
“How the flowers of the aspen-plum flutter
and turn! Do I not think of you? But your house is
distant.”
The Master said, “It is the want of thought
about it. How is it distant?”
【注释】［1］偏：翩。［2］反：翻。
【译文】古诗上说：“唐棣树的花，在微风中
翩翩摇摆。难道我不想你吗？只是家太遥远
了。”孔子说：“这是没有想念，如果真的
想念，又有什么遥远的呢？”
