朝，与下大夫言，侃侃［1］如也；与上大
夫言， ? ［2］如也。君在， ? ［3］如也，与
与［4］如也。
When he was in the prince’s ancestorial
temple, or in the court, he spoke minutely on every
point, but cautiously.When the ruler was present,
his manner displayed respectful uneasiness; it was
grave, but self-possessed.
【 注 释】［1］ 侃 侃： 和 悦 的 样 子。［2］ 訚 訚
（y!n?y!n）：谦和恭敬的样子。［3］踧踖（c&?j!）：
恭谨，局促不安的样子。［4］与与：威仪适
度的样子。
【译文】孔子上朝的时候，与下大夫交谈，温
和而喜悦；与上大夫交谈，谦和而恭敬。君
