曾子［1］曰：“吾日三省［2］吾身：为人谋
而不忠乎？与朋友交而不信乎？传不习乎？”
The philosopher Tsang said, “I daily examine
myself on three points: — whether, in transacting
business for others, I may have been not faithful; —
whether, in intercourse with friends, I may have been
not sincere; — whether I may have not mastered and
practised the instructions of my teacher.”
【注释】［1］曾子：孔子的弟子曾参（sh8n）。
［2］省（x@ng）：反省，省察。
【译文】曾子说：“我每天从三个方面反省自身：
为别人谋划事情有没有不忠诚不尽心的地方
呢？和朋友交往有没有不守信的地方呢？老
师传授的知识有没有不认真复习呢？”
