losing the opportunity of being so?” Confucius again
said, “No.” “The days and months are passing away;
the years do not wait for us.” Confucius said, “Right;
I will go into office.”
【注释】［1］阳货：又叫阳虎，季氏的家臣。［2］
归（ku#）：同“馈”，赠。豚（t%n）：小猪。
［3］时：通“伺”，等候。亡（w%）：无，
指没在家。［4］亟（q#）：屡次。
【译文】阳货想见孔子，孔子不见，阳货馈赠孔
子小猪，想让孔子来拜谢。孔子等到他不在
家时而前往拜谢，不巧又在路上遇见了阳货。
阳货对孔子说：“过来，我和你谈谈。”接着说：
“身怀治国本领却面对邦国迷茫困惑，可以
说是仁吗？”阳货见孔子沉思不语，便自答说：
“不可以。”阳货继续说：“自己喜欢从政
却又屡次错失时机，可以说是智吗？”自答说：
