The Forum on Cultural Heritage Conservation was held in Beijing on September 5. The forum was jointly organized by China Daily, the National Cultural Heritage Administration, and the Asian News Network. More than 200 guests from mainstream media in Asia, domestic and foreign cultural heritage conservation institutions, embassies and consulates in China, and universities attended the event.
Guests from China and abroad expressed that diversity spurs interaction among civilizations, which in turn promotes mutual learning and their further development. International cooperation should be deepened by all parties, and they should work together in areas such as personnel exchange, archaeological collaboration, and heritage conservation and restoration. They should also actively support the creation of a cooperative platform for cultural heritage conservation among Asian countries, and protect the heritage that is shared by humanity.
Yunnan's cultural treasures dazzled the guests from China and abroad during the forum, displaying Yunnan's intangible cultural heritage such as Pu'er tea, Hani ethnic embroidery, and Va ethnic brocade (Hani and Va are China's ethnic minorities).
