On September 3, the opening ceremony of the 19thCalligrapher Sage Culture Festival of Linyi was held at Linyi Calligraphy Square. More than one hundred calligraphers, artists, collectors, representatives of cultural and creative entrepreneurs, and calligraphy enthusiasts across China gathered in Linyi, hometown of the Sage of Calligrapher Wang Xizhi, for this grand artistic event.

At the event site, Linyi City and the Calligraphy Art Center of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on holding the National Exhibition of Calligraphy Works & Chinese Calligraphy Reproduction Conference in Linyin, Hometown of the Sage of Calligraphy. At the opening ceremony, awards were given to the outstanding representatives of the 5th"Wang Xizhi Award" National Calligraphy Works Exhibition, excellent county and district calligraphers associations, characteristic village residences of Wang Xizhi calligraphy, characteristic schools of Wang Xizi calligraphy, excellent calligraphy training institutions and excellent calligraphy culture disseminators. The commemorativestamp of Sage of Calligraphy Wang Xizhialso made its grand debut.

A total of 19 activities including calligraphy exhibitions, academic forums, exhibitions and sales, and cultural interactions have been planned for this event. In the following month, the 19thCalligrapher Sage Culture Festival of Linyi will transport public visitors to a spectrum of activities such as the exhibition of 300 years of calligraphy works of Linyi and the philatelic exhibition atWang Xizhi-themed post office.
