On the morning of August 31, the Seminar on Confucius' Thought of "Governing by Virtue" in Governing Zhongdu & Series of Zhongdu History and Culture, hosted by Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies, was held at Shandong Painting Academy.

The experts and scholars attending the Seminar had in-depth discussions and exchanges on Confucius' thought of "governing by virtue" in governing Zhongdu as well as cultural inheritance and development. They all expressed that advocating "governing by virtue" and inheriting Confucian culture is a significant task of today, requiring us to adopt a systematic approach and take a forward-looking attitude to advance it in the contemporary world. After the seminar, the award ceremony of "Zhongdu Cultural Ambassador" was held, during which the representatives of "Zhongdu Cultural Ambassador" were awarded with the license and the appointment certificate.

"Governing by virtue" is a core idea in Chinese political tradition. The event is a vivid example of integrating the underlying tenets of Marxism with China's realities and the best of its traditional culture, and promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese culture in combination with the reality of the county of Wenshang. The publication of the Series of Zhongdu History and Cultureshowcases the latest achievements of the "creative transformation and innovative development" of Shandong culture, which is of great significance for preserving and carrying forward the fine traditional Chinese culture.
