《康诰》［1］曰：“克［2］明德。”《大甲》［3］
曰：“顾 ［4］天之明命。”《帝典》［5］曰：“克
明峻［6］德。”皆［7］自明也。
In the Announcement to Kang, it is said, “He
was able to make his virtue illustrious.” In the Tai
Jia, it is said, “He contemplated and studied the
illustrious decrees of Heaven.” In the Canon of
the Emperor Yao, it is said, “He was able to make
illustrious his lofty virtue.” These passages all show
how those sovereigns made themselves illustrious.

是周公封康叔时作的文告，此文告为康叔上
任之前，周公对他所作的训辞。［2］克：能、
能够。［3］《大甲》：《尚书·商书》中的
