When Confucius was in Wei state, one day he played the qing, a traditional Chinese musical instrument known as stone chime. At that time, a native loaded with straw basket passed by. When he heard the sound, he said, "The sound has an implication!" After a while, he said, "I can hear that the man playing the qing is very stubborn. He is complaining that no one understands him. If people cannot understand you, then you'd better attend to your own affairs." Confucius sighed and said, "That sounds very profound. But unfortunately, it's very hard to do that!"
