1.1
子曰：“学而时习之，不亦说［1］乎？有
朋自远方来，不亦乐［2］乎？人不知而不愠［3］，
不亦君子乎？”
The Master said, “Is it not pleasant to learn
with a constant perseverance and application? Is it
not delightful to have friends coming from distant
quarters? Is he not a man of complete virtue, who
feels no discomposure though men may take no note
of him?”
【注释】［1］说（yu-）：同“悦”，喜悦，高兴。
［2］乐（l-）：快乐，高兴。［3］愠（y&n）：
恼怒，生气。
【译文】孔子说：“学了以后而又按时练习或
实习，不也是很高兴的吗？有朋友从远方来，
