Bronze Light: Dialogue between Sanxingdui and Rodin" Exhibition Opens in Shanghai

On the afternoon of December 13th, the special exhibition "Bronze Light: The Transcendental Dialogue between Sanxingdui and Rodin" opened at the Shanghai University Museum.

A total of 36 unearthed ancient cultural relics, mainly from Sanxingdui, and 21 modern artworks mainly designed by Rodin, were exhibited, including the famous "Golden Mask", "Bronze Man Head with Golden Mask", "Bronze Standing Figure inSkirt", "Bronze Human FigureArtifacts" and other typical and representative artifacts of ancient Shu civilization, as well as the highly influential and representative creations in Western sculpture art such as "Balzac Head", "Apollo Fighting Python", "Woman Wearing a Veil", and "First Draft of Hell's Gate".

The purpose of this exhibition is to explore the common connection between the spiritual world of ancient Shu civilization and Rodin’screative ideas, showcasing the eternal intention of human civilization to cross regions and time and space, and to carry out a dialogue that connects ancient and modern times, China and foreign countries.
