On December 10th, the new session of the China Confucius Foundation and the first meeting of the seventh council were held in Jinan.

At the meeting, the Work Report of the 6th Council and the Financial Work Report of the 6th Council were reviewed and approved,and the Work Report of the 1st Supervisory Board of China Confucius Foundationwas announced.

Members of theseventh council of the China Confucius Foundation were elected at the meeting. Yu Xiaoming was elected as the Chairman of the 7th Board of Directors. Guo Chengyan, and Kong Fanke(former Deputy Minister of the PublicityDepartment of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee)were electedas Vice Chairmen. Guo Chengyan concurrently also serves as Secretary General.

During the tenure of the 6th Council of ChinaConfucius Foundation, significant achievements were made in six major areas, including Party building, academic research, talent cultivation, popularization and promotion, international exchange and dissemination, and fund fundraising management. China Confucius Foundation hassuccessfullybeen rated asa national 4A level foundation. Next, under the leadership of the new board of directors, China Confucius Foundation will continue to improve the quality and efficiency of its work, cultivate an academic foundation, forge a high-quality talent team, popularize Confucianism, make contribution to dialogue among civilizations, and contribute actively to the inheritance and promotion of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
