Nearly 600 Cultural Relics Debut at New Sanxingdui Museum

On July 26, the new Sanxingdui Museum opened, with more than 1,500 pieces (sets) of old and new cultural relics on display, vividly revealing the brilliance of ancient Shu civilization and highlighting the permanent charm of Chinese culture.

The exhibition is divided into three parts, using a rich combination of cultural relics and visual, auditory and other means of expression, to display the past and present of Sanxingdui Ruinsand the latest results of archaeological excavation and researchin an all-round and multi-dimensional way .

In the new museum, not only the bronze sacred tree and other precious cultural relics unearthed in 1986 are on display, but nearly 600 cultural relics made their debut, including more than 300 relics unearthed at six newly discovered sacrificial pits and more than 200 relics unearthed at No.1 and No.2 sacrificial pits in 1986.

Throughdigital virtual restoration technology, the audience can also see the bronze altar and other national treasures, intuitively feel the gorgeous and colorful civilization of Sanxingdui, and deeply understand the unique statusof Bashu culture as an important unit in the grand pattern of diversified and integrated Chinese civilization.
