In order to meet the needs of visitors, the Confucius Museum made it a priority to launchan annual exquisite exhibition, focusing on the Spring Festival traditions practiced at the Confucius Family Mansion and in Qufu’s folk culture.Followingthe chronological sequence, from the LabaFestival, the Chinese New Year to the Lantern Festival, it ringed inthe New Yearalong with the public.

To complementthe New Year special exhibition, a number of intangible cultural heritage inheritorsof Qufu gathered at the Confucius Museumto stage stunning performances. Many traditional intangible cultural heritage artifacts, such as dough sculptures, paper-cuttingand carvings, weredisplayed in the Confucius Museum, leadingthe audience to truly appreciatethe allureof traditional culture and Spring Festival customs.

During the festival, the Confucius Museum focused on building the brand of “Confucius Classroom”, and launched various activities with the themes oftraditional festivals, intangible cultural heritagecrafts, and Spring Festival celebrationat Confucius Family Mansion. 11 activities were held in total, and more than 200 visitors participated.

Furthermore, the Confucius Museum launched a series of traditional culture experience activitiesbased on its own strengths, which allowedthe audience to learn about traditional culture and pass on traditional crafts through personally practicing them.

The Museum will continue to improve the exhibition quality, stage a variety of experience activities, and create new all-media exhibitions, so as to better integrate traditional culture into contemporary life.
