On January 24, 2023, the 13th Spring Festival Joint Exhibition of Chinese Books in Global Overseas Chinese Bookstores was held inthe largest Chinese bookstores in the UK with the theme of “Reading China”. The eventwas heldsimultaneously in 85 bookstores in 27 countries and regions, including the U.S., Thailand and Tunisia.

The joint exhibition is mainly held in renowned well-run overseas Chinese bookstores, and mainly carries out activities such as Chinese book exhibitionsand cultural performances. This bookstore,whichwas established in 1971 and aids in fostering ties between China and the UK,participates in the exhibition every year. The books featured in the exhibition, all philosophical, artistic and appealing, can meet the needs of overseas readers.

This year’s book exhibition presentedthe latest and best Chinese publications to local readers, so that they can better understand China in the new era. The event will bring closerpeople fromdifferent countries and build bridges between different cultures.
