“China Today” art week kicks off in Adelaide

On January 28, 2023, the “China Today”arts week was launched in Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia.
It is divided into two parts, namelyan exhibition of ceramic artwork by inheritors of intangible heritageand one of paintings and prints from the northeastern Heilongjiang province. The exhibitionsshowcase50 representative ceramic works fromJingdezhen, and a total of 39 pieces of traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintingsand watercolor paintingscreated by exceptionalartists in Heilongjiang Province.
The event is held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia and the Spring Festival andis thus of great significance. Through the exhibitions, the Australian people canappreciatethe excellent works of Chinese artists and enhance the mutual understanding between the two peoples.
The event will strengthen cultural exchanges between China and Australia and promotefriendship between the two peoples. It is hopedthat moreAustralian people will be drawnto enjoy both traditional and modern Chinese artworks.
