The Hong Kong Palace Museum announced on February 1 that it would launch its first special exhibition featuringits own collection. The exhibition, to be held from February22 to September25, will displaymore than 200 exquisite ancient Chinese gold artifacts.

This large-scale exhibition of gold artifacts in Hong Kong focuses on the artistic and technical achievements of gold items in Chinese history and explores their role in ancient political events, cultural life and cross-regional exchanges.

The exhibition’s earliest pieces date back to the 18th century BC. The treasures include ornate gold ornaments of ancient nobles and decorations for their horses and carriages. Most artifacts will be unveiled to the public for the first time.

Through the exhibition of ancient Chinese gold artifacts, the museum will spread awareness of Chinese culture and let the world enjoy Chinese culture and art.
