On the afternoon of November 26, a book launch of the first and second book volumes of Nishan Library, the national key publication planning project of 14th Five-year Plan, were held in Qufu, Shandong Province.

As a stage achievement of Confucianism research conducted by Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies (Secretariat of China Confucius Foundation), Nishan Library has compiled new academic ideas and viewpoints related to excellent traditional Chinese culture in recent years, and has underlined the explanations for the important value of Confucianism in the construction of the core value system of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era as well as the positive role that Confucianism plays in international exchange, communication and dialogue so as to effectively promote the inheritance and popularization of fine traditional Chinese culture. Nishan Library includes representative works of each scholar. At present, the first and second volumes of Nishan Library are published by Shandong Education Publishing House.

With a complete system and structure, the Nishan Library series covers a wide range of contents, and is highly academic and readable. It shows the crystallization of ideas and academic wisdom of Chinese scholars based on local culture and independent thinking, and is an ideal series for Chinese outstanding traditional culture researchers, college students and even ordinary readers by which people can fully appreciate the charm of the fine traditional Chinese culture.
