On November 18, the 6th Symposium on Local Archives and Literature sponsored by Qufu Normal University and Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies(Secretariat of China Confucius Foundation) was held in Qufu Normal University.More than 100 experts and scholars from 58 famous universities, research institutes and cultural and museological systems at home and abroad attended the symposium.

The symposium features keynote speeches and panel discussions.The participating experts and scholars beganaheateddiscussion on the theory and method of local archives and folk literature research, the preservation, sorting and utilization of local yamen(government office in feudal China)archives and folk historical literature, the creative transformation and innovative development of the literatureof sage descendants and finetraditional Chinese culture, the exploration, inheritance and activation of local historical and cultural heritage resources, andthe digital transformation and database construction of local archives and folk literature.

The symposium with rich topics attracting many famous scholars, integrates multiple disciplines such as history, archival science, legal history, and computer science, and runs through the research period from pre-Qin Dynasty to the founding of New China, covering rich content such as theoretical research, practical research, and case focus, setting off an academic climax of local archives and literature research.
