First Academic Forum Held by Joint Graduate School of Nishan World Center in Confucian Doctoral Program

On the morning of August 18, the First Academic Forum for Doctoral Candidates Specializing in the Fine Traditional Chinese Culture (Including Confucian Studies) at the Joint Graduate School of Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies was held in Zoucheng, Shandong Province.

Ten doctoral candidates studying the program of the fine traditional Chinese culture (including Confucian studies) from the Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C (National Academy of Governance), the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Fudan University, Shandong University, Sichuan University, Wuhan University, and Sun Yat-sen University delivered their academic presentations.They presented their research findings on the thoughts of life philosophy in Confucian classics andConfucianists in history, and exchanged their views on the significance of Confucianism to today's ecological progress, community life and lifestyle cultivation.The panel experts made pertinent comments on the essays,givingvaluable suggestions on the ideas and writing skills of the essays, and encouragethe studentsto broaden their academic horizons, enrich their research ideas, and develop innovative mindsetsin solving problems to pursue academic excellence.

As the inaugural academic forum for these specialized postgraduate students since the inception of the Joint Graduate School, this forum is of great significance to showcase and review the outcomes of the Joint Graduate School's targeted talent cultivation and to enhance the academic innovation abilityof the postgraduate students.
