On the morning of October 16, the symposium on the compilation and publication ofthe Encyclopedia of Confucianism was held in Jinan.

The Encyclopedia of Confucianismis a major project established in the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Inheritance and Development of Confucianism in the Nishan World CenterFor Confucian Studies, and is also a key project supported by the China Confucius Foundation. Launched in October 2022, the Encyclopedia has set up more than 30 sections, including general theory, chronology, special classics, and comparative topics. Top experts and scholars in related fields are hired as the chief editor to list and write the articles, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, which will become an important milestone in the history of Confucianism studies.

The convening of this symposium marks a new stage in the compilation work and will also create more favorable conditions and guarantees for the successful completion of the task.
