On February25, a forum on cultural exchangesfor “harmony”was held in Pekanbaru, Riau Islands Province, Indonesia, jointly organized by Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies (the secretariat of the Confucius Foundation in China), the Yayasan Prajna Harmonis(Indonesian Harmony Cultural Foundation) and the Maitreyawira Sekolah Tinggi Agama Buddha(Eternal Kindness Buddhist Institute).The event was also attended by guests at the sub-venue in Jinan, Shandong.

At the forum, experts and scholars delivered academic speeches and exchanged their insights on the “harmony”culture. About 460 people attended the forum.

The fine traditional Chinese culture, represented by Confucianism, has a time-honoredhistoryand profound significance. Asthe essence of the wisdom of the Chinese civilization,it holds important inspiration for addressing the challengesfacing humanitytoday.
