Onthe afternoon of February 18, a press corps, focused on promoting the traditional culture, visited New Luyuan VillageinQufu,Jining City,birthplace of Confucius. Adjacent to the Nishan Sacred Land, the villagehas flourished by tapping into its cultural advantages, transforming from a remote mountain village with potholes into a well-known “villa-strewnvillage”.

Walkingup the stairsat the village entrance, a demonstration street of Confucian virtues comes into view, where onecan take inbook fragrance and the wisdom of ancient texts, andappreciate thecraftsmanship of engraved seals from the Kongfu Seal Pavilion.

In one of the shops, a group of villagers are working onstringart. The village encourages people to come here in their spare time to learn techniques, providing employment for villagers. Skilled villagers can do about 8 pieces a dayand earn an average daily income of 120 yuan.
