From December 27 to 28, the 5th Academic Symposium on Chinese Border Archaeology was held at History Research of China in Beijing.More than 90 experts and scholars from national universities and archaeological research institutions in border areas gathered together for in-depth exchanges and discussions.

During the seminar, 53 academic reports have been released, which covered a wide range of topics relating to the fresh discoveries and developments on border archaeologyas well as the northern nomadic culture in China and cultural exchanges between the East and the West, unfolding a growing and thriving trend of border archaeology. In addition, special academic reports for the youth were also held, aiming to build a platform for communication and mutual learning among young people, and cultivate a more futuristic team of frontier archaeologists.

It is understood that the Academic Symposium on Chinese Border Archaeology has been held annually since its establishment in 2019, bringing together experts and scholars from differentfields to showcase and exchange the latest research achievements onChinese border archaeology.
