On the afternoon of August 4, a lecture on traditional Chinese culture was given at Confucius School of Shungeng Villa in Jinan, as part of the“Nishan Lecture Hall”lecture series launched by Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies(Secretariat of China Confucius Foundation).

A book donation ceremony was held at the same time and a letter of appointment was granted to the lecturer, Mr. Lv Mingxi,director of Beijing Xiaoxing Tianxia Cultural Communication Center.

Lv Mingxi’explained the core concept of the “filial piety”culture with the stories of Da Shun, one of the Chinese nation’s forefathers and the first perfect example of conducting “filial piety”in recorded Chinese history, elaborating the inheritance and development of the Da Shun culture, the “filial piety”culture and the traditional Chinese culture. He encourages the audience to start their cultivation of virtues from practicing “filial piety”as it is the basis of all kind behaviours and the foundation for patriotism, professionalism, honesty and kindness to others. His lecture has made the audience feel the nurturing and transforming functions of fine traditional Chinese culture.
