On July 18th, the launch ceremony of the “RecitalProject of Classical Chinese Poetry and Literature”and the Debut ceremony forthe 2023 edition of theChinese Ancient Poetry and Literature Readerwere held in Beijing.

Students from Shangbancheng Primary School in Chengde City, Hebei Province, showcasedtheirachievementsas benecifiariesfromthis projectat the ceremonybyrecitingclassics such as The Confucian Analects, An Epigraph in Praise of a Humble Home, andLove of Water-lily.

Professor Dai Shihe, the binding designer of the 2023 edition of the Chinese Ancient Poetry and Literature ReaderandProfessor Xu Yongfrom School of EducationofCapital Normal University, respectively elaborated on the contemporary value of finetraditional Chinese culture,described the hard work and efforts behind the new edition of the Reader, whichfully displayed their professionalism and deep feelings for traditional culture.

The organizer presented the newly published readers to the participatingstudents, encouraging them to follow the footstepsofthesagesaspatrioticjuvenilesandgrow into inheritors and promoters offine traditional Chinese culture.
