The “Chinese Confucianism Study” Thailand Sub-forum of the Ninth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations was held in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 18. Chinese people from home and abroad, experts, scholars, and other guests “met” in Bangkok online and onsite to jointly delve into the valuesof excellent Chinese traditional culture in modern times, kicking off a grand event on the exchange between different cultures and civilizations.

Focused on the “values shared by excellent Chinese traditional culture and mankind,”the sub-forum provided an in-depth explanation of the values of excellent Chinese traditional culture in the development of modern world civilization. It has built a bridge to facilitate exchanges between different civilizations around the world, injecting rich connotations into the sub-forum.

The ceremonies for the establishment of the Academic Committee of the Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies Krirk University Sub-center (Thailand) and the launch of the translation and promotion project of the Analects of Confucius for the Belt and Road countries (Thai version).

Media platforms including Xinhua News Agency, Sina, and Kongzi.org livestreamed the sub-forum, each attracting more than 400,000 views.

It is understood that the “Chinese Confucianism Study”Thailand Sub-forum was the first overseas sub-forum held by the organizing committee of the Nishan Forum on World Civilizations after the pandemic, as well as the first warm-up event of the Ninth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations. It has made a positive contribution to implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy, strengthening the spread and influence of Chinese civilization, deepening exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations, and promoting Chinese culture better to the world.
