On November 24th, the academic seminar on "Cultural Inheritance, Development and Construction of Modern Chinese Civilization" and the 10th National Joint Conference of Confucian Societies were held in Qufu, Shandong province. More than 350 people attended the meeting, including leaders and representatives from over 80 Confucian societies (institutions) across the country, as well as renowned Confucian experts, scholars, and enthusiasts from all over the country.

The theme of this seminar is "Cultural Inheritance, Development, and Construction of Modern Chinese Civilization". From the dimensions of history, present, and future, it explores the original intention and practice of cultural construction, reflecting the cultural attitude of respecting tradition and continuing the context, and showcasing the cultural sentiment of the vast number of Confucian workers who bravely shoulder their missions and actively take actions.

At the opening ceremony, a book gift ceremony for the Chinese Confucian Yearbook was held. The Chinese Confucian Yearbook was founded in 2001 and is a professional Confucian journal managed and sponsored by the Confucius Foundation of China. It has been successfully published in two volumes for 2022 and 2023.

The meeting also set up 4 groups and 8 group discussions. Representatives from various Confucian societies and related institutions reported their work and valuable experience in promoting Confucianism, and conducted in-depth discussions on issues such as "cultural inheritance, development, and construction of modern Chinese civilization". The conference received nearly 80 academic papers and experience exchange materials from various Confucian societies. After discussion and approval at the meeting, the National Confucian Society jointly issued the "Qufu Initiative", and the conveners of each seminar group made reports and speeches in turn.

The National Joint Conference of Confucian Societies was jointly initiated by the Zhejiang Confucian Society and the China Confucius Foundation,which is committed to promoting the affective work of Confusion societies as a dialogue mechanism and exchange platform. It has been held in Hangzhou, Qufu, Guiyang, Xi'an, Taiyuan, Hefei, Tangshan, Wenchang, Changchun and other places, and its influence continues to increase.Over the past decade, the National Confucian Society has played an important role in promoting the prosperity and development of local culture, enhancing the humanistic quality of the people, and enriching people's lives.
