子曰：“为政以德，譬如北辰，居其所
而众星共［1］之。”
The Master said, “He who exercises government
by means of his virtue may be compared to the north
polar star, which keeps its place and all the stars turn
towards it, ”
【注释】［1］共（g6ng）：同“拱”。拱卫，环绕。
【译文】孔子说：“当政者用道德来治理国政，
就好像北极星安居其所，而众星就井然有序
地环绕着它。”
【解读】孔子提倡德治，希望每一个统治者都
能够身正为范。在古人眼里，北极星在茫茫
夜空中位置恒定，星光明亮，所有的星辰都
