On the morning of January 9th,Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies(Secretariat of China Confucius Foundation) held a meetingon the construction of overseas Confucius schools, viaonline and offline means. A total of 23 representatives from 13 overseas Confucius schools in9 countries including Russia, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, South Korea, Hungary, Indonesia, Panama, Thailand, as well as the Macau Special Administrative Region attended the meeting.

At the meeting, representatives from overseas Confucius schools such as the Hungarian branch of the Lu Shang Alliance, the Confucius School of China International School in Thailand, the Affiliated Primary School of Macau Education Industry Middle School, the Confucius Culture Center in South Korea, the Shandong Chamber of Commerce in Panama, the Confucius School of the China New Zealand Traditional Culture Exchange Center, the Confucius School of the Indonesia Avenue Cultural Research Center, and the Confucius School of the Russia China Association for the Promotion of Humanities and Technology Cooperation sharedtheir experiences and practices in conducting business at overseas Confucius schools. They exchange opinions and suggestions, and providedsuggestions on improving the standardized management level, strengthening the training of volunteer lecturers as well as improving the connotation construction of overseas Confucius shcools.

“Confucius School”is a public welfare cultural brandcreatedby the Nishan World Centerfor Confucian Studies and ChinaConfucius Foundation. After nearly 10 years of development, it has shown increasingvitality, becominga platform for the overseas dissemination and exchange of finetraditional Chinese culture, contributing tospreading Chinese culture, promoting Chinese language, organizing public welfare activities, and expanding the friend ciclewith countries around the world.
