Confucius Studies included in A Guide To The Core Journals of China (2023 Edition)

Recently, the editorial department of Confucius Studies received a notice from the editorial board of Guide To The Core Journals of China(2023 Edition)that Confucius Studies will be included as a core journal of the philosophical category (excluding psychology)in 2023 edition (i.e. the 10th edition).
Confucius Studies was founded in 1986, supervised byPublicity Department Of Shandong Provincial CPC Committee and managed by China Confucius Foundation. The Journal mainly publishes high-quality academic papers related to Confucius’thought, Confucian culture and traditional Chinese culture, especially featuring such studies as the source of Chinese culture and thought as well as the exchanges and dialogues between Chinese and foreign civilizations. Over the years, , the journal has been highly and widely praisedand recognized at home and abroadfor its high quality, standard and taste.
Meanwhile, it has received numerous honors in recognition of its achievements over the past years ,including National Chinese Core Journal, Chinese Core Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences, Source Journal of Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) , Important Reprint Source Journal of DuplicatedNewspapersandPeriodicalsData, Statistical Source Journal of Annual Report for Chinese Academic Journal Impact Factors, Outstanding Achievement Of Shandong Social Science Theory, Excellent Journal of Shandong Province and so on.
A Guide To The Core Journals of China is the result of a research project on the evaluation of Chinese core journals in which many publishers from the libraries of Peking University and a dozen colleges in Beijing and experts from relevant institutions participated. Nine editions of the guide have been published: 1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2017 and 2020. Core journals, selected from the officially published Chinese journals after the quantitative screening and the qualitative evaluation by the experts, serve as references for the evaluation and purchase of Chinese academic journals by libraries and intelligence insititutions and the general readers.
