On December 16, the opening ceremony of the Royal "Tourism" Cultural and Creative Design Exhibition and the award ceremony of the 3rd Summer Palace Cultural and Creative Design Competition were held at the China Century Altar.

This cultural and creative design exhibition showcases 133 outstanding works (sets) from this competition. These works focus on the royal life of the Old Summer Palace, relatedcultural relics, auspicious beastfigures in the Summer Palace, festive seasons, and the Three Mountains and Five Gardens, delving into the spiritual connotations of the cultural resources of the Old Summer Palace and creatively expressing them through creative design techniques. The exhibition will continue until January 2, 2024.

At the event, the Yuanmingyuan Management Office signed acooperative agreement with universities such as Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Central Academy of Fine Arts, as well as enterprises such as Beijing Textile Science Institute, Beijing Yunji Culture, and Jiangxi Red Star, to promote the sound development of the cultural and creative industry and inject new vitality into the inheritance and development of excellent traditional Chinese culture.
