On November 19th, the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and the Meishan Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics jointly announces major archaeological discoveries in Meishan, confirming that the tombsin the "Su CemeteryGarden" was for Su Fu, Su Shi's grandson, and Su Shan, Su Shi's great grandson and son of Su Fu. This complete cemetery structure is veryrare in the Sichuan region.

“Su Cemetery Garden "is a place name in Shizika Village, Xiuwen Town, Dongpo District, Meishan City, Sichuan Province. According to local villagers, legendshavebeen passed down from generation to generation that this wasthe family cemetery of a great literary figure, Su Dongpo. From December 24, 2018 to April 5, 2019, the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology set upan archaeological team to conduct rescue archaeological excavations and a comprehensive investigation of the surrounding area.

It is reported that the "Su CemeteryGarden" was previously listed as a cultural relic protection unit at the Meishan municipal level. Now, through archaeological excavation, the Su Dongpo family cemetery has been officially confirmed, which has gretersignificance for in-depth exploration and studyof the Su Dongpo and his familyculture.
